Character Design & Animation: Bringing the GroupTogether Mascot to Life
Project Description
In a long-term, multi-year collaboration with GroupTogether, I had the privilege of managing the entire lifecycle of their signature mascot. My work involved both the original character illustration and the subsequent development of custom animations. I took the friendly dog character from a static concept and animated its movements to create a more dynamic, engaging, and interactive user experience.
These animations act as essential micro-interactions, guiding users through the group gifting process with warmth and personality. By unifying the illustration and animation phases, I was able to ensure consistency in character behavior and style across various digital touchpoints, making the process of collecting money for gifts less functional and more delightful.
